Spring Pond & Water Feature Clean-Outs Central Vancouver Island

A full drain and clean for ecosystem ponds and koi ponds, completed using proven clean-out practices so your pond starts the season clean, clear, and healthy.

What a Spring Clean-Out Does

A spring clean-out removes the built-up debris and sludge that collects over fall and winter. It gives us a chance to inspect filters, lights, skimmers, and pumps to ensure everything is in good working order.

Fish Safety Is Built Into the Process

A spring clean-out is disruptive for fish, which is why how the work is done matters just as much as what is removed.

When fish handling is required, the process is designed to reduce physical stress and support fish health throughout the clean-out:

These steps are standard practice during professional spring clean-outs and are intended to return fish to a stable, biologically active environment as safely as possible.

The focus is on patience, proper handling, and minimizing sudden changes so fish can recover quickly once the pond is back in operation.

Who This Is For

Spring clean-outs are ideal for:

  • Ecosystem ponds and koi ponds
  • Ponds with visible debris, sludge, or strong odours
  • Ponds with reduced flow, clogged intakes, or dirty filters
  • Pond owners who want a clean start before peak algae season

What We Do Not Service

  • Chlorinated water features
  • Swimming pools and hot tubs
  • Municipal or commercial fountain systems that run on chemical sanitation

We focus on recirculating ecosystem-style water features designed to support fish, plants, and wildlife.

How Booking Works:

Step 1: Tell Us About Your Pond

Complete the contact form and upload a few photos of your water feature. Photos of the pond, skimmer, filter, and equipment area help us understand the scope and prepare properly.

If you know details like fish count or past issues, include those as well.

This allows us to plan the clean-out correctly before we arrive.

Step 2: Quick Call to Confirm Details

We will schedule a short call to confirm scope, access, fish handling needs, and timing.

Once everything is clear, we schedule your clean-out date and collect a deposit to secure your spot on the spring schedule.

No surprises. No unnecessary work.

Step 3: Clean Out Day

On the scheduled day, we complete the spring clean-out following a structured, fish-safe process.

After the service, you receive a clean-out record showing what was completed, what was observed, and any recommendations for repairs or improvements if needed.

If fish are present, a brief health assessment is included.

*Spring clean-out dates are limited. Early booking helps ensure availability during peak season.
